Su tutto il territorio nazionale sono attivi percorsi informativi e/o formativi sulle manovre salvavita, semplici manovre che possono fare la differenza e che sarebbe bene che ogni genitore conoscesse. Mamme, papà e tutti coloro che sono a contatto con soggetti in età pediatrica dovrebbero seguire il corso di disostruzione, così da conoscere, acquisire e saper eseguire azioni che possono essere d’aiuto in caso di pericolo, in caso di necessità, quando è a rischio la salute o peggio la vita dei bambini.Il corso di disostruzione prepara a intervenire quando si ha a che fare con una situazione in cui è richiesto un primo soccorso immediato, ma prepara anche a richiedere l’intervento dei soccorsi qualificati in caso di incidente domestico più serio.
La prevenzione è fondamentale per diminuire il numero di incidenti, così come partecipare al corso di disostruzione e apprendere le manovre base salvavita può essere davvero di vitale importanza.
Le manovre di disostruzione pediatrica sono dei gesti in grado di salvare la vita ai bambini quando in maniera del tutto involontaria ingeriscono o inalano corpi estranei che vanno a ostruire le vie aeree in maniera parziale o totale. Capita spesso, quando i piccoli hanno un’età compresa tra i 6 mesi e i 3 anni e si va incontro a conseguenze gravi, talvolta fatali e non sapere come muoversi potrebbe aggravare una situazione già critica. Non a caso l‘ingestione o l’inalazione di un corpo estraneo costituisce una delle principali cause di morte accidentale nei bambini al di sotto dei 3 anni.Gli alimenti più pericolosi, che possono causare soffocamento, sono quelli difficili da gestire durante la masticazione (semi) o i pezzi troppo grandi. Più rischiosi sono i cibi tagliati a rondelle o comunque tondeggianti. Possono scivolare nelle vie aeree appena introdotti in bocca, prima di cominciare la masticazione. Attenzione anche ai cibi duri e fibrosi (sedano, finocchio e grasso del prosciutto) e a quelli appiccicosi e morbidi (creme spalmabili).Ma non solo gli alimenti (uva, pomodorini, caramelle, frutta secca, popcorn) sono pericolosi. Lo sono anche gli oggetti (piccoli giocattoli smontabili, bottoni, monete, ciondoli, tappi delle penne, pile).
In caso di ostruzione parziale il corpo estraneo si trova in una posizione tale da permettere un minimo passaggio di aria, comunque non sufficiente. Il bambino piange e tossisce e deve essere incoraggiato a tossire in modo potente, ma senza dare colpi o pacche su spalle o schiena. Questo potrebbe andare a spostare il corpo estraneo, rischiando di ostruire completamente il passaggio di aria.
In caso di ostruzione completa il corpo estraneo crea una sorta di “tappo” nelle vie aeree, dunque non vi è alcun passaggio di aria. A differenza del caso precedente, il bambino non è in grado di tossire né di piangere. L’intervento deve essere assolutamente tempestivo, non si può aspettare il 118, perché si potrebbe arrivare in pochi minuti a un’insufficienza respiratoria con conseguente arresto cardiaco. Bisogna applicare correttamente le manovre di disostruzione pediatrica.
Ai candidati al termine del corso verrà rilasciato un certificato di frequenza al corso stesso che avrà le seguenti caratteristiche:
1) Valido in tutta Italia;
2) Valido come punteggio nei concorsi pubblici;
3) Valido per crediti formativi scolastici ed universitari;
5) Valido per Centri Sportivi, Palestre e ASD (Decreto Balduzzi);
